How to Roast/Fry Delicious and Edible Groundnut to Make Money in Nigeria

Groundnut is one of the snacks that are nutritional to the body. It originated from South America. It is also called peanut mostly in North America. It has great benefits such as;

  • It increases the chances of fertility.
  • It's also a natural man power food.

Traditionally, roasted or fried groundnut is made in two ways;

1. Through using sand.

2. Through using ash.

Let's get to the explanation of how groundnut is roasted/fried through those aforementioned methods one after the other.

Ingredients;

  • Groundnut
  • Sand
  • Water
  • Salt.

Method 1;

Boil water till it gets warmed like the one you use to make tea, then take it off the stove and pour the groundnut inside it, pour salt and mix it.

Let it be in the water for minutes before using a sieve to retrieve it from the water. After that, let all the water in it dry, you can apply any method to make it dry, then stir another salt.

Get a frypan and a stove, on the stove and put the frypan on it to make the frypan hot, when you notice the frypan is hot, pour the sand in it and spread it all over, leave it for about 10-15 minutes when it might have got hot, then pour the dried groundnut inside, then mix it every 15seconds to avoid getting burnt.

Just keep mixing it till it gets brown colour. When you get this colour, it's time for you to it take off the stove and make it chill.

Use a sieve to remove the remaining sand in it. Now it's edible.

Method 2;

Follow every step you followed while using method 1, what is just different between these methods is "ash". Instead of using "sand", you will use ash and will get the same result you got through sand.

Note 1: One can develop appendicitis(a situation where the appendix gets inflamed) through small sand or ash, but with the help of creativity in entrepreneurship, i have got to know the modern way of roasting or frying groundnut which is through the use of gaari.

It was tested and it worked.

All you need to do is simply follow all the steps being used through sand and ash.

I can bet you will get the same result.

Note 2: Make sure you peel off the skin when you are done frying so as to attract your consumers.

Always make sure your consumers satisfaction is your priority.

Your product needs Packaging right?

Remember you are not a local seller, are you?
You are a creative entrepreneur!

So you don't necessarily need nylons, rather find cleaned & emptied bottles or plastic bottles of different sizes, fill them up with the roasted/ fried groundnut and attach your price tags to them according to their sizes. You can be selling them to anyone or any trading shop.

Note 3: Your price tag on the sand or ash made groundnut will definitely be different from that of gaari made, due to the production cost.

In conclusion, be very careful while roasting or frying your groundnut because people only patronise product that is of high quality.
Make sure you don't over roast or fry it.

Let's see people's reactions about this post. Comment below.
